HubSpot Alternative for Agencies, Picked by How You Work

Looking for a HubSpot alternative for agencies? The right pick depends on one question. Do you run marketing for many client businesses, or do you just need a cheaper CRM for your own agency? I sorted the options by that question, using official pricing pages I read on November 4, 2026. Quick answer Many clients, one login: HighLevel. Its plans are flat monthly prices with unlimited users and contacts, and the $297 plan gives unlimited client sub-accounts. You serve local businesses and want to resell: Vendasta. It uses a monthly minimum spend with wholesale pricing, starting at $99. Email-heavy client work: ActiveCampaign. Pricing is set by contact count, so check it for your list size. Your own sales pipeline only: a simple CRM like Pipedrive may be enough. Stay on HubSpot if your clients already use it and pay for their own portals. Best ABM Tools for Mid Market Companies and How to Choose

Looking for the best ABM tools for mid market companies? Here is my short answer. Most mid-market teams should start with the ABM tools inside the CRM they already use. Move to a dedicated platform like 6sense, Demandbase or AdRoll ABM only when you have a clear job it must do.

Quick answer

  • Already on HubSpot Pro or Enterprise? Turn on its built-in ABM tools first. They are part of those plans.
  • Need to know which accounts are in-market? Shortlist 6sense and Demandbase. Both are quote-only.
  • Mostly want ads aimed at target accounts? Look at AdRoll ABM (the former RollWorks).
  • Not sure yet? Write down your target account count and your one main goal before any demo.

I did not test these tools. I read their official pages on November 4, 2026, and built my picks from what those pages say. This is general information, not business or financial advice.

Why most "best ABM tools" lists are hard to trust

When I searched this keyword, almost every top result came from one ABM vendor's own blog. Each of those posts ranks the vendor's own tool first.

That does not make them wrong. But it means you should judge tools by your own needs, not by someone's ranking. So this guide gives you a way to choose, not just a list.

What an ABM tool actually does

Account-based marketing means you pick a set of companies and market to the people inside them. You stop chasing every lead.

ABM software helps with four jobs:

  • Pick accounts. Score companies by fit, like industry or revenue.
  • Spot interest. Show which accounts are researching your topic right now. This is called intent data.
  • Reach them. Run ads, emails and sales outreach aimed at those accounts.
  • Measure. Report on pipeline and deals from target accounts.

Few mid-market teams need all four on day one. Pick the one that hurts most.

The ABM tools I looked at

1. HubSpot ABM tools (built into the CRM)

HubSpot's help center says its ABM tools come with Marketing Hub or Sales Hub, Professional or Enterprise. Some features need specific seats.

What you get, per that page:

  • A "Target account" checkbox and an "Ideal customer profile tier" with three tiers.
  • A "Buying role" field for contacts, like Decision Maker or Budget Holder.
  • A target accounts home with recommended companies.
  • Ready-made segments you can sync to LinkedIn Ads audiences.
  • ABM dashboards and report templates.

One catch: the Account overview view needs an assigned Sales Hub Professional or Enterprise seat.

Good fit if: your team already lives in HubSpot. If you are still picking a CRM, my HubSpot vs Pipedrive comparison covers that choice.

Not a fit if: you need third-party intent data at scale. I did not see that listed on this page.

2. 6sense

The 6sense pricing page has no public prices. You fill out a form for a custom quote.

It splits the product into Revenue Marketing, Sales Intelligence and a data offering. Add-ons listed on that page include AI email agents, predictive models, data packs and a Bombora topic pack.

Two FAQ points stood out to me:

  • Per-seat, credit and record pricing drops per unit as volume goes up.
  • Some data packs can be bought without the full platform.

Good fit if: you want intent signals to tell sales which accounts to call this week.

Not a fit if: nobody on your team has time to own the setup and keep segments clean.

3. Demandbase

Demandbase also uses a quote form, with no prices on its pricing page. Its FAQ list asks whether you can buy standalone solutions for marketing or sales. That suggests modular packaging, but the answers did not load as text for me, so I can't confirm the details.

Good fit if: you want one platform for account selection, ads and sales insight, and you have budget for an annual contract.

Not a fit if: you need a price before you talk to sales.

4. AdRoll ABM (formerly RollWorks)

When I opened the RollWorks pricing URL, it sent me to AdRoll's pricing page. There, an "AdRoll ABM" tab lists four packages:

  • Account-Based Advertising
  • Account-Based Marketing + Advertising
  • Account-Based Marketing
  • Account-Based Retargeting

The first three say "Request a Demo." The retargeting package says there is no fee to start and you pay only for media.

Good fit if: ads to target accounts are your main channel, and you want a low-commitment way to test.

Not a fit if: your core need is sales intelligence, not advertising.

Other names you will see

Search roundups also mention Terminus, Bombora, Apollo and Abmatic AI. I did not read their official pricing pages for this guide, so I am not ranking them.

How to choose: a 5-step checklist

  1. Count your accounts. 50 named accounts is a very different job from 2,000.
  2. Name one main goal. Better targeting, more ad reach, or faster sales follow-up.
  3. Check your CRM first. If it has ABM fields and reports, start there for one quarter.
  4. Ask for a full quote. Ask what is in the base price and what counts as an add-on, like seats, credits or data packs.
  5. Plan the data sync. ABM tools live or die on clean CRM data. If your sync already breaks, fix it first. My guide on why Salesforce sync keeps failing may help.

Common mistakes mid-market teams make

  • Buying intent data with no one to act on it. Signals do nothing if sales does not follow up.
  • Too many target accounts. A huge list turns ABM back into normal lead gen.
  • No baseline. Record pipeline from target accounts before you start, so you can see change. My post on marketing attribution tools for small teams covers measurement basics.
  • Treating ABM as only ads. Outreach matters too. See my cold email automation tool comparison for the email side.

FAQ

What is the best ABM tool for a mid-market company?

There is no single best one. If you use HubSpot Professional or Enterprise, start with its built-in ABM tools. If you need intent data, compare 6sense and Demandbase. If ads are your main channel, look at AdRoll ABM.

How much do ABM platforms cost?

As of November 4, 2026, 6sense and Demandbase show no public prices on their pricing pages. You request a quote. HubSpot includes ABM tools in its Professional and Enterprise plans.

Is RollWorks still available?

The RollWorks pricing URL now redirects to AdRoll's pricing page, where ABM packages appear under "AdRoll ABM." Check with AdRoll for current product names.

Do I need intent data for ABM?

Not to start. You can pick accounts by fit and run ABM inside your CRM. Intent data helps more once you have a team ready to act on it quickly.

Can I try an ABM platform before buying?

6sense says to talk to its team about options, and it gives new customers a test environment during onboarding. AdRoll's account-based retargeting package has no fee to start.
